The RMC Trail Crew is a team of 8 professional Trail Crew workers and one Field Supervisor. We maintain over 100 miles of trails and paths, with work ranging from simple brushing to complicated rockwork and everything in between. Our season lasts from the beginning of June until late August.
Trail Crew work is a vital part of maintaining the trails system in the White Mountains, both allowing access for hikers and campers while at the same time protecting the fragile wilderness. The work is often hard and demanding, but at the end of the day it is one of the most satisfying things to look back on, knowing that you have played an important role in the stewardship an care of some of the most beautiful land in the world.
If you don’t really know what a trail crew does, or if you’re just interested in finding out about what we’ve been up to, check back here for weekly(ish) updates of our antics! In the mean time, enjoy the Whites and maybe you’ll bump into us on the trails!
